بِسْمِ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ

 عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

All praise be to Allah SWT, our Lord and Cherisher.

May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad , his noble family, companions and all those who follow their righteous footsteps until the day of Qiamah.

Dear respected brothers & sisters;

ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

The aim of this project is to provide complete yet concise khutbahs appropriate for the modern Muslim and fast paced society we live in. The contents are in English whilst the important introduction, Quranic texts and some recommended dua are in Arabic to aid the reader in the correct pronunciation.

The general theme is on the remembrance of Allah SWT and our beloved Prophet Muhammad , minimising any rulings or personal opinions. Each khutbah is a succinct account from sources which we believe are reliable and available freely on the internet.

The majority of the ahadith so far were referenced from Abu Amina Elias'

(Justin Parrott) website: Faith in Allah

https://abuaminaelias.com/

(we highly recommend all readers to look up and benefit from this wonderful website!).

Furthermore, we endeavoured to place relevant references from articles/videos that influenced a particular khutbah in the ‘reference and inspiration’ section.

We ask Allah SWT to reward the Muslim writers and scholars who contribute such vast knowledge so readily for the benefit of the ummah. Ameen.

Ideally, we would all love to perform our Friday Jummah prayers in our masjids, but often times we are unable to do so, due to school, work, travel or some other necessity. At the time of writing, we are in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. We then tend to feel very uneasy if we missed the Jummah prayer.

InshaAllah with this effort, we hope it would make it easier for the person chosen to become the imam to deliver the khutbah. This is not meant to substitute listening to the khutbah and praying in our masjids, but as an aid or convenience for those who genuinely cannot attend. Please feel free to discuss any issues with your trusted scholar.

Of course, these khutbahs are also intended to be shared by everyone, at home for example, with all the family. Thus 'Khutbah home' seemed a good title. In addition, these spiritual topics could be used in any halaqa, interfaith or wellbeing sessions.

This is just the first collection. Our goal is to post more Iman-boosting khutbahs, InshaAllah.

We ask for your dua and welcome any feedback through the email KHUTBAHhome@protonmail.com

such as any errors in the Arabic texts or contents.
